What to Expect at Your Visit

Healing Peak emphasizes working as a team to understand what is driving symptoms and to create a plan that fits your life. Depending on your needs, your care may include:

• Diet and lifestyle counseling to identify patterns that contribute to inflammation and recurring symptoms
• Diagnostic lab work and imaging orders when appropriate (including blood work and imaging such as X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans, as indicated)
• Specialty lab testing when needed (examples listed include micronutrient testing, advanced lipid profiles, heavy metals, stool analysis, hormone panels, autoimmune panels, and food allergy testing)
• Herbal medicine and professional-grade supplementation plans tailored to your case

If you have questions about which type of appointment is right for your condition please give us a call and our office staff will make sure you are in the appropriate visit type. Services that are not covered by insurance are most often functional medicine lab testing, products, prolotherapy and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections. We do our best to make Naturopthatic care as affordable for everyone as we can. However some costs are not avoidable but are an investment towards your future health. All cash appointments paid in full at the time of service are offered a time of service discount. This discount is only available on the same day as your visit. We except all forms of payment. Dr. Nixon is not classified as a Primary Care Provider. In order to be a PCP there are specific clinic guidelines that must be followed and all patients should have a provider that falls within these specifications. Dr.Nixon is more than happy to work with your PCP in making sure you are receiving the best and most informed and comprehensive treatments.

We are happy to check your benefits for you and will help you with the process to receive reimbursement for any PPO plans that have out of network coverage benefits. Our staff will be happy to check your out-of-network benefits for you and help you fill out the necessary paperwork in order to receive reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Your insurance is an agreement between you and your insurance company, not between your insurance company and our office. We cannot be certain if your insurance covers Naturopathic care or acupuncture, although most policies do provide coverage.  The amount they pay varies from one policy to another. Please make sure to call your insurance company and complete a insurance benefit check prior to your visit or have our staff complete this for you. As an additional courtesy to you our office will complete any necessary insurance forms at no additional charge. It is to be understood and agreed that any services rendered are charged to you directly and you are personally responsible for payment of any non-covered services, deductibles, co-pays or co-insurance.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A cancelation time frame of at least one business day and (48 hours notice) for all cancellations/rescheduling is required. As a small local business without 48 hours notice we may not have enough time to fill your time slot. Appointments canceled without proper notice (48 hours) will be charged 100% of the visit cost. If you are scheduled for two appointments, the fee will apply for both appointments. Please call the office at 206-899-6000 to leave a message regarding your appointment. Cancellations will not be accepted via email or patient portal. We require a credit card on file for any scheduled appointment. Your card will NOT be charged if a 48 notice was given. Any non-paid balances will be charged to your credit card on file after 120 days and if declined will be sent to collections.
